I've been visiting Croatia for a long time, although I wasn't at lot of places. I know most of Istria and a part of Dalmacia, and for those two destination I can confirm that those are great places. Most of the people I know are more than satisfied by Croatia, just be sure you find a place of your taste. For example if you're traveling with small kids, Rabac would be a good choice as they have a lots of programs for kids.
